I start by listening—like tuning my ears to your memory—and I paint in rich oils that feel like your own story waking up on canvas. From your first idea to seeing the brushstroke speak, it’s your memory, painted with care.

Thinking about a custom painting?
You can work directly with me to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art that reflects your style, your space, and what inspires you. Here’s how the process works:

1. Picture the Space

Start by thinking about where you’d like the artwork to go — your living room, office, hallway, wherever you want a statement piece. To figure out the right size, use painter’s tape on your wall to try out different dimensions.

2. Let’s Chat

We’ll start with a quick phone call or video chat to talk about your vision. If you’re local to Vancouver or nearby, I’m happy to visit your space in person. We’ll go through some of my past work and talk about what styles, colours, or themes speak to you. I’ll also take a photo of the wall and create a digital mock-up to show what your painting could look like in the space.

3. Set a Schedule

If you’re ready to move forward, we’ll set up a timeline for the painting and delivery. Most pieces take about 4 weeks to complete, depending on size. A 50% deposit is required to start, with the rest due after you’ve approved the finished painting.

4. Design & Paint

Next, we’ll collaborate on colours, mood, and overall direction. Once we lock in the design, I’ll get painting! I’ll keep you updated throughout the process so you can see the progress as your custom piece comes to life.

5. Finishing Touches

When the painting is done, I’ll share it with you for final approval. Since I use oil paint, the piece will need 3–4 weeks to fully dry. After that, I’ll add hanging hardware so it’s ready to go on your wall.

6. Delivery or Shipping

Once it’s ready, I can either hand-deliver the painting or ship it to you safely — professionally packed to protect it during transport.

7. Your Experience Matters

My goal is to make the commission process personal, exciting, and stress-free. I pour a lot of time, care, and passion into every piece. You’ll be involved every step of the way, and I’ll do everything I can to make sure you love the final result.
