"My husband and I commissioned 2 paintings from Graham as we love his mountain and cityscape depictions of the North Shore and Whistler. We had previously been unable to find reasonably priced artwork which fit our taste. Working with Graham was exceptionally easy and enjoyable. He responded to all correspondence in a timely manner and, as first-time commission buyers, seamlessly guided us through the process. The end results were even better than anticipated. Multiple houseguests have provided unsolicited comments on the high quality of his work. We would unreservedly recommend him as an artist."

Art Commissions: Can I commission Graham Watts for a custom painting?
Commissioning an original painting from Graham Watts is a personalized journey that allows you to bring your unique style and preferences to life through a one-of-a-kind artwork. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can embark on this exciting process:
1. Visualize Your Space: Begin by imagining where you would like to showcase a signature painting in your home or office. To determine the perfect size for your space, use blue painter’s tape to experiment with different dimensions on your wall.
2. Introductory Meeting: Graham starts with an introductory meeting to grasp your vision. This can be conducted via phone or video conference. If you’re in Vancouver or the suburbs, Graham is open to visiting your space to gauge the size and ambiance. During this meeting, review Graham’s artwork and highlight pieces that resonate with you. Share your preferences and ideas for the painting, including any themes or concepts that excite you. Graham will take a photo of the space and digitally mock up how the canvas will fill the wall.
3. Production Schedule: If you’re keen on proceeding, Graham will establish a production schedule with completion and delivery dates. Typically, a painting takes around 4 weeks to complete, depending on the size. A deposit of 50% of the project is requested upfront, with the balance due upon completion and final approval.
4. Design Process: Graham initiates the design process, collaborating with you to select colors and styles that inspire you. Once you’re content with the design, Graham begins the painting process, usually taking about four weeks depending on the size. Throughout this phase, Graham ensures to keep you informed of the progress.
5. Finalization and Drying: Upon completion, Graham presents the final piece to you for approval. As Graham works with oil paints, the artwork requires 3 to 4 weeks to dry. Graham will then add hanging hardware, making it ready for display on your wall.
6. Delivery or Shipping: Graham provides options for either personal delivery or professional packaging and shipping of the painting to your home or office, guaranteeing its safe arrival.
7. Customer Satisfaction: Your satisfaction is Graham’s top priority. He dedicates significant effort, skill, and passion into each painting, and his clients have commended his commitment and professionalism. Throughout the process, Graham ensures to manage your expectations to ensure an enjoyable and enduring experience for you and your family.
I look forward to working with you!
Cheers, Graham

"After requiring 5 of your original paintings. My thoughts and feelings towards your wonderful artistic talent starts with the instant BEAUTY I see in your works from your eye-popping colour schemes! I gravitate to them. Your mind’s eye is revealing on canvas to me. The themes you choose are akin to the values I have…THE RAW NATURAL BEAUTY OF WILDLIFE & LANDSCAPES! I view your work as CANADIAN HERITAGE CLASSICS!
Your art invokes smiles & fantastic memories of western & northern Canada. I see the dynamic life, strength; soul in FELIX…his eyes! The calm beauty, barren cold & stars of the POLAR BEAR in NORTHERN SOLITUDE! Mount Cayley’s majestic heights. The detail in ALL your works including the ones I don’t unfortunately possess indicates to me your passion, skill & quality you create! My sole disappointment is your works I don’t possess!”
